Voltage boost module
This module is primarily intended for "hand launched glider" but of course it can be used on other light airplane. A maximum of 4 servomotors or a consumption of 1A under 5V is permitted.
The advantage of the module is based on increased autonomy. One can double or triple the autonomy, thanks to the LiPo technology. For example, one boost module + one LiPo 1S2P400mAh (or 1S800mAh) have roughly the same weigth and size that a 350mAh NiMh battery.
It's possible to parallelize the output of two modules in order to have a true redundancy (two batteries + two modules). In this configuration, one battery will supply almost the total current (the other battery will supply only if the first one is discharged or damaged). Then to remain fully redondant, it's advised that the load consumes no more than 1A.
Features:
Input voltage: from 2,7VDC to 4,2 VDC
Output voltage: 4.9 VDC regulated
Output current (permanent): 1A
Rise of temperature @ max current: +- 30°C
EMC/EMI free
Dimensions: (L x l x e) 23 x 9 x 5 mm
Wires dimension (receiver): 15cm
Wires dimension (battery): 15cm
The module comes with flying wires for the battery and the receiver.
WARNING: This module isn't protected against shorts and polarity reversing. Instructions for use and implementation included in the shipment. Assembly with the magnetic switch is possible if mounted back to back or inline. Other wires length available on request at info@soudez.be .
